Introduction to Liberatory Pedagogies

Many of us use principles of liberatory pedagogies in our courses. These may include anti-racist pedagogy, feminist pedagogy, queer pedagogy, universal design for learning, and many others. This workshop will enable you to identify the implicit course design and teaching practices you are already using and provide ideas for how to incorporate aspects of various liberatory pedagogies into your courses.

Come learn about how CELT can support you in your own Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research project.
We will discuss: the current status of SoTL research; how SoTL research fits within your teaching and research agendas; brainstorm research questions with colleagues; and how to develop a study from ideas to IRB to data collection.
