Tulane University’s Center for Engaged Learning and Teaching (CELT) welcomes all faculty, staff, post docs, and graduate students to the inaugural Sparking Success: A Faculty Development Conference, January 10-11, 2019, in New Orleans, LA.
Tulane has deep and important commitments to EDI, anti-racism, racial justice, and racial equity. We also have important commitments to our beloved city of New Orleans, the Gulf Region, and the world. In this session, the presenters support attendees in exploring how instructors can address anthropecentrism in the classroom and connect classroom learning with the truths that exist in the natural world - particularly the connection between biodiversity on our planet earth, EDI, and social change.
