Supporting BIPOC Graduate Students

Presenter: CC Suarez, Associate Dean of EDI and Student Experience, School of Social Work

Graduate studies can be challenging for any student. However, navigating higher education as a BIPOC graduate student is nuanced, complex, and often riddled with the compounded stress of both educational and societal inequity. This communal session will highlight commonly overlooked stressors often built into the general practice of graduate school, provide tools for accessing BIPOC graduate student support resources in current graduate programs, and also identify ways to provide support to BIPOC graduate students on a daily basis.

Monday, October 9th | 12PM to 1PM | Downtown Campus
