Equity-Minded Grading

Presenter: Toni Weiss, Executive Director, CELT and Sr. Professor of Practice

We know that the college classroom of old disproportionally favored students with privilege while harming others, particularly BIPOC students, first-gen students, students from lower socio-economic means, and many marginalized groups. We have done a lot of work revising our syllabi and creating more inclusive assessments but may have overlooked a crucial component of inclusive pedagogy - the way we grade. This workshop will walk through some of the tools we can employ to ensure a more equity minded grading system.

This workshop is taking place in-person.
Wednesday, January 31st | 10AM - 12PM
