Online Teaching Training

Tulane’s Center for Engaged Learning Teaching (CELT) and Innovative Learning Center (ILC) have designed an Online Teaching Training. While it is true, we are all more experienced with this mode of teaching than we were mere weeks ago, creating a successful online class requires more than just Zoom and/or recorded of lectures. We need to rethink the design of the curriculum to ensure faculty-to-student and student-to-student engagement, accessible content, informative feedback, and appropriate assessments. This training will provide faculty with the fundamentals of course design as they apply to online pedagogy, as well as Hybrid and HyFlex modalities.

Winter Session Online Teaching Training

Rigorous and high-quality online teaching means more than just “Zooming.”  This training will prepare you to teach a successful online course.  This training is also ideal for faculty who will be hybrid teaching.

You will asynchronously engage with course materials, discussion board dialogues, and learning activities each week.  You will meet synchronously every week with your cohort via Zoom to apply all that you learned during your asynchronous learning time.

This 6-week training will begin the week of November 30. Applications are due Friday, November 20.
