Teaching can be a stressful occupation in the best of times. [Optional: Details about current campus situations could be inserted here.] Fortunately there are simple techniques which, when practiced daily, are clinically proven to help manage stress. In addition, these practices promote overall health and well being. They have even been shown to enhance teaching and learning. This session will give an overview of what "mindfulness" is, how it can be cultivated through a variety of formal practices, and how this can inform your teaching.
